Does it work with AI Engine, the MCP Adapter or my own plugin?
Yes, with all of them, and with none. MCP for WP is not tied to any plugin or relay. Whatever connects your agent to your WordPress site, MCP for WP runs next to it and keeps working. Your site's MCP acts on your site, MCP for WP knows WordPress.
Do I need to install anything on my WordPress site?
No. There is nothing to install on your site and no account to create. You add one URL to your AI agent, and that's it.

What does "fully WP-aware" mean?
AI models learn WordPress from a snapshot taken months or years before you use them. They miss new releases, suggest deprecated functions and know nothing about the Abilities API or the MCP Adapter. With MCP for WP connected, your agent checks what is true today before it answers or writes code.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no API key, no limit for normal use. It is read-only and made by Meow Apps, who build WordPress plugins and wanted their own agents to stop getting WordPress wrong.
What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way to give AI agents tools. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Codex all support it: add the URL once, and the agent calls the tools on its own when WordPress comes up.
Does it touch my WordPress site?
Never. MCP for WP is read-only and never connects to your site, so it can't break anything. It only answers questions about WordPress itself. To let an agent manage your site, use an MCP server on that site, like the official MCP Adapter or a plugin.
Does it know about page builders?
Yes. Agents get the official docs of Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Bricks, Breakdance, Oxygen and WPBakery, next to the core handbooks, the block editor and the REST API.
How fresh is the data?
Versions, security releases and news are read from the official sources and refreshed every hour or so; every answer says when. The changelog is written by hand as soon as something changes, and every entry links to its source.
